Hot Lickerish Drool : clusterflock
I"m intrigued. Is that liquorice essence dissolved in hot dilute to make a tea?" Well, it could be, however in my case it is a cuppa brewed from a bag of Alvita Licorice Root.
I state of it as licorice imbue elsewhere of respect to the distinction between tea (brewed from leaves of the tea bush, Camellia sinensis ) and tisane (an herbal or fruit concoction).
But I feel a little foolish drawing this distinction, stickler though I am for accuracy. Turn up my snoot at references to chamomile tea? Oh, aren't we high and mighty. Such are the matters I ponder while drinking hot licorice water. Sheila Ryan on March 17th, 2008 Hot and watery & 8212; with a smack of licorice!
