A Bihari in USA engaged in trial on bush used in Ayurveda
6 million from National School of Condition (NIH) for the research study on use of plant-derived products for the treatment of autoimmune diseases (Multiple sclerosis, Lupus, Arthritis, Hepatitis, Colitis). It hopes to unravel the secrets of ancient medicine practised in India and develop better drugs. Dr Prakash Nagarkatti, a professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, is to lead the research study.
Dr Narendra Singh is to study the toxicity and anti-inflammatory properties of plant products on the immune system.
The team plans to cooperate with scientists from India to test a colossal digit of bush extracts championing their anti-inflammatory possessions and study their mode of action.
