Heavy metal blues
A Health Canada hortatory dated Dec. 28 requisition some products distributed by Selkirk-based Wild Winery "contain heavy metal contamination with substances such as lead, and inappropriate labelling."
The counselling besides states that Wild Vineyard "is not authorized to manufacture, package, label or import consistent health products in Canada."
Terry Bell, employer of Wild Vineyard, said he has not heard of a single occasion of someone fitting ill from the products.
Bell, on his lawyer's advice, declined to declare what prompted the advisory, but did say Luxuriant Vineyard recalled its products "as a precaution" and he look forward everything will be sorted out -- and his products will again be for sale -- within a few weeks.
