The department of AYUSH, priesthood of health and next of kin welfare, Government of India is organizing AROGYA, a comprehensive health objective on Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy from January 4-7 later year at Lalbagh Palace ground here.


Every year such a fair is organised in New Delhi to showcase the strengths, potential and the latest advancements made in India in the traditional medicine sector and Homoeopathy.


The AROGYA unbiased showcases the advancements in clinical practices, research and documentation, manufacturing and the processes involved in these set of medication and also the medicinal plants sector.


This annual fair in Delhi attracts worldwide researchers, manufacturers and processors and people from all walks of life who evince a great interest in the ancient and model knowledge systems of Ayurved, Siddha and Unani medicines and wonderful therapeutic conclusion of yoga which is globally famous as drugless therapy system. AROGYA fairs outside Delhi have so far been held at Chennai, Hyderabad and Dehradun.


It is for the anterior time that such a fair is being organized in central India. The department of AYUSH in collaboration with the government of Madhya Pradesh and organizational support from FICCI has selected Indore as the venue for this important event looking to its importance as a major commercial and industrial middle which is also a peppy pharma manufacturing cluster.


Major Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani manufacturing units are participating in the fair from all-over the country.


During the succession of AROGYA fair, a seminar on bookmark global possibility for medicinal plants, cultivation, processing and marketing' will also be organized by the National Medicinal Plants Timber with experts taut from different parts of the country on January 4, 2008.


Besides, a workshop on level upgradation representing AYUSH manufacturing production will also be organized by the German Benefit Agency and the Ayurveda Drug Manufacturers' Association on January 6 next year.


A highlight of the fair would be free orb clinic organized by the Government of Chhatisgarh and Sreedhariyam Ayurveda Eye hospital, Cochin. During the fair, national level experts on yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani would deliver a module on mother and child care through AYUSH.
